Our Process – Off-Grid Power Systems
Load assessment → design & modelling → in-house pre-build & testing → installation → monitoring & support. Reliable power that scales where the grid can’t go.
At MyEnergy, we’ve spent over a decade powering where the grid can’t go. Whether it’s a remote station, agricultural site, eco-resort, or rural home, our process ensures you get a reliable, scalable, and tailored off-grid power solution—backed by real experience, not guesswork.
Step 1: Understanding Your Needs
Every property is different. We begin by understanding:
-
Your location and energy usage
-
What you want to power today—and tomorrow
-
How often the site is used (full-time, seasonal, etc.)
-
Site access and existing infrastructure (shed, house, mains water, etc.)
This first step often starts with a phone call or filling out our Off-Grid Quote Form (link to your form), followed by a review of any bills or appliance lists you can provide.
Step 2: Preliminary System Design & Ballpark Cost
Once we have the key details, we’ll come back with:
-
A rough system size and layout (solar, battery, inverter, generator)
-
A ballpark figure so you can make an informed call before we dive into specifics
If you're happy with the general direction, we’ll proceed to firm up the quote.
Step 3: Site Visit (If Required)
For more complex jobs or where access and layout are unclear, we’ll carry out a site visit to:
-
Confirm equipment placement (solar arrays, power cabinet, gen-set, etc.)
-
Check for shading, trenching, and cabling requirements
-
Make sure the proposed setup matches your actual site conditions
Some smaller setups or sheds may not need this step if we’ve got enough info.
Step 4: Final Proposal
With all info in hand, we’ll provide a detailed proposal that includes:
-
Equipment specifications
-
Scope of works and inclusions
-
Pricing (including STC rebates if applicable)
-
Optional add-ons (e.g. generator integration, remote monitoring, auto-start, etc.)
We’ll also explain scalability if you plan to expand later (e.g. starting with a shed or tiny home, then adding a house).
Step 5: Lock-In & Install
Once approved:
-
We schedule your install and collect a deposit
-
The system is built and pre-wired by our in-house team at our workshop
-
We arrive on site with a ready-to-go solution for faster, smoother installation
Step 6: Commissioning & Handover
We don’t just flick the switch and leave. At handover:
-
The system is tested, commissioned, and fine-tuned on-site
-
You’ll receive a walkthrough on system operation and maintenance
-
Remote access (if included) is set up for future support
Step 7: Ongoing Support
All systems come with:
-
Access to our in-house support team
-
Remote monitoring (on applicable systems)
-
Optional servicing and support plans for long-term peace of mind
We don’t outsource our installs—and we don’t disappear after the job’s done.
