William Creek is reputed to be the smallest town in South Australia, surrounded by the world's largest pastoral station, Anna Creek Station - which is the size of Israel.
It is the closest town to Lake Eyre North, near the magical Anna Creek Painted Hills and the gateway to the Simpson Desert. The town has a permanent population of 6, however, during the winter months, this exceeds 30... plus one dog.
The off-grid power system consists of the following:
135kVa of Victron Energy Quattro Inverters
200kW of Trina Solar Modules
DC Coupled using Victron 450/200 Smart Solar Chargers
AC Coupled using Fronius International ECO Inverters
Victron Cerbo GX for Remote Monitoring & Control
280kWh of storage using Pylon Technologies US5000 Batteries
Cabinets from Tro Pacific
All being cooled by Daikin Comfort split systems
All built in a 40' Container
We were honoured with the 2023 Master Electricians Clean Energy Project of the Year award for our William Creek Standalone Power System Project.
This award reflects not only our team's technical ability but also our dedication to providing clean energy solutions for remote areas of Australia.
Our project at William Creek showcases the positive impact that renewables can have on both remote communities and the environment.
