The newly constructed Wayne Phillis Service Centre in Lonsdale, South Australia, is a state-of-the-art automotive servicing facility. With operations involving vehicle hoists, electric diagnostic tools, air compressors, lighting and administration systems, energy usage is constant and high. As with many large mechanical operations, reliable and affordable power is essential for keeping a busy workshop operating smoothly.
A Smart Commercial Solar Investment
Wayne Phillis required a smart, cost-efficient grid connected commercial solar system to support high electricity use. The system needed to be designed to manage frequent surges from workshop equipment, maximise the site’s grid capacity and provide a scalable design with the ability to grow over time, delivering long-term energy efficiency.

Custom-Designed Commercial Solar
MyEnergy delivered a tailored grid connected commercial solar solution designed to meet the demands of a busy automotive workshop. The system includes 220 Jinko Tiger solar panels, generating 96.8kW of solar, securely mounted using a Schletter roof mounting kit. Power is managed by two Deye 40kW 3-Phase Hybrid Inverters, delivering a combined 80kW of output. Known for their efficiency and seamless integration with battery storage, Deye inverters ensure smooth, uninterrupted power delivery even under high loads. To support peak loads and maintain a steady power supply, 51.2kWh of Pylontech Force H3 high-voltage battery storage was integrated into the system. Each component was chosen for long-term performance, reliable operation and a design that can grow with the business while meeting the needs of a demanding mechanical workshop environment.
