Trentham is a small country town in Victoria known for its cool climate, gold rush heritage and thriving rural community. Surrounded by rolling farmland and forest, many properties beyond the town’s edge fall outside the mains grid, making a self-sufficient off grid power system the ideal solution for new home builds.
Designed from the Ground Up
Working directly with the builders, MyEnergy was tasked with designing an off-grid power system to deliver reliable energy and save the owners from costly grid connection fees. Using the building plans, our team developed and configured the system layout ahead of installation, ensuring every component was ready to integrate seamlessly once construction reached completion.
Pre-Engineered, Tested and Built to Last
To streamline delivery, MyEnergy designed and built the complete off-grid power system in a cabinet at MyEnergy HQ South Australia, before transporting it to site. The weatherproof, vermin-proof aluminium cabinet housed the core components and was fully tested and certified off-site before installation. It was then positioned neatly inside the newly completed carport, providing secure access and protection while keeping the system close to the home. A 15.84kW solar array was mounted to the roof using a Schletter Roof Mount System, ensuring reliable solar generation year-round.
The installation features a 5kVA Victron MultiPlus-II inverter, Fronius Symo Inverter, Victron SmartSolar charge controller and Victron Cerbo GX for system monitoring. Paired with 24kWh of Pylontech lithium battery storage, the system delivers dependable off grid power with room to expand as the property’s energy needs grow.
