Monarto, best known for its renowned Safari Park, offers a landscape similar to the vast plains of Africa. While it’s just a short drive from Adelaide, the area presents unique challenges when it comes to securing reliable grid power. For agricultural properties scattered across the region, connecting to the grid isn’t always practical, or even possible. That’s exactly the situation this property owner faced. They needed a dependable power supply not just for a shed today, but for a growing agricultural property with plans for additional dwellings and increased operations in the near future.
Off Grid Solar Meeting Today’s Needs and Ready for Tomorrow
The MyEnergy team designed a tailored off grid solar power system built to handle the property’s current demands and ready to scale up as the farm grows. A 14-panel solar array, mounted to the existing shed using a Clenergy roof mounting system, forms the backbone of the installation. At the heart of the power system is a Victron MultiPlus-II inverter paired with a Victron SmartSolar Charge Controller and a Cerbo GX device. Two Pylontech US3000 lithium batteries were incorporated to provide ample storage today, with flexibility for expansion as future energy needs increase. The system was built on a dedicated power wall in the shed for protection. A reliable, independent power source was essential not only for daily farm operations but also to future-proof the property as it grows.
