Reliable Power for a New Property
This property owner in Kaniva had plans to develop the infrastructure on their land, starting with the existing shed, with plans to add a transportable home on-site in the near future. A reliable off-grid solar power system was essential from the outset, to reduce reliance on the generator. The initial energy requirements cover essentials such as a fridge, freezer and small split system air-conditioner, with larger energy users like the stove, oven and hot water system powered by gas. While the energy needs were expected to stay the same once the home was in place, the system was designed with scalability in mind to allow for future increases in demand if needed.
Delivering an Off Grid Solar Power System Ready to Grow
MyEnergy designed and delivered an off-grid solar power system carefully tailored to the property owner's power needs. The off-grid solar power system was installed within the property's existing shed. Thirty solar panels were mounted on the shed roof using the Schletter Roof Mount System. Inside the shed, the power system was installed on a dedicated power wall featuring Victron components, including the inverter, SmartSolar charge controller and Cerbo GX with Touch 70 for smart monitoring. The Pylontech battery unit was securely housed within a protective cabinet fitted with a closing door to shield it from the elements.
